USA network relocated to LA in hopes to find some dating in los angeles vs new york TV hosting gigs. You see in NY it’s made obvious when an individual is interested, here in LA it’s a little more of a puzzle to piece together. I like to think of myself as an outgoing, fun New Yorker. My dad on the other hand would beg to differ.

My father feels I’m too much and need to tone it down. Well life isn’t about being toned down! It’s about being turned up or on! So, in a normal situation in NY I would approach the girl. Then, after realizing my bank account has run dry, I might get a relationship out of the deal. New York on the other hand, well that’s a different animal altogether. Woman will tell you from day one if they are not interested.

I understand and am enjoying this relationship dating puzzle on both coasts. I enjoy girls in LA because they truly seem like they care about things, but on the other hand I love my NY girls for keeping everything real. Another thing I have noticed which differs between the two coasts is the emphasis on health. Both NY and LA push forth the idea of a healthy lifestyle. They just do this in two completely different ways.

One thing I have taken from this, which I can use as I live between both states, is the outside concept of working out. I like to find a random park and use the equipment for pull ups and triceps. I never spent too much time doing cardio outside until I moved to LA. Don’t get me wrong in NY we enjoy our runs around Central Park and late nights at the gym.

But what I miss the most in comparison between both cities is the occasional 4 am city sidewalk hot dog from Papaya Dog. I just recently meandered outside club Lure in Hollywood in hopes of finding something to eat. I looked for a quick street vendor, but alas, I couldn’t find anything but souvenir shops with Justin Bieber cardboard cutouts. Just a few comparisons from a New Yorker living in Los Angeles.
